(with the Hertz Foundation Poster Session)

Please join us for the UW Cognitive Science Conference May 8 at the Lowell Conference Center.  This conference will be held in conjunction with the Department of PsychologyÕs Hertz Foundation Poster Session.  The goal of the conference is to support interdisciplinary research, and to provide a showcase for UW research in Psychology and in all disciplines of Cognitive Science.

Schedule:

á      3:00-4:30 Plenary Speaker: Josh Tenenbaum, Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, MIT

á      4:30-6:00 Poster Session Reception with food and refreshments

Poster Submission Guidelines:

Priority will be given to posters presented by faculty and graduate students. As space allows we will accept posters presented by undergraduates working in collaboration with faculty. We encourage all submissions, including posters that have been previously presented at a national or regional scientific conference.

We want to emphasize that posters from all areas of the Psychology Department (not just those relating to cognitive science) are invited. Submissions from all areas of cognitive science (not just psychology) are encouraged as well.

To indicate your interest in presenting a poster, please send email to Craig Anderson (cdanderson@wisc.edu) with:

1)            Poster Title

2)            PresenterÕs name and affiliation

3)            Names and affiliations of other authors

4)            Brief abstract

Submissions will be accepted in the order received, with some selection to balance between different disciplines.

This event should also provide a nice end of the semester get together! Reserve your poster soon.
